Design that happens for a reason

We were caught on holiday in the South of France by the lockdown — the confinement. During which the house next to the one we were renting came up for sale. So we bought it and stayed. We believe things sort of happen for a reason.

My passion for design, practicability and useability have driven me all my life. I designed systems for lawyers, banks, car leasing, government departments — successfully in the 1990s. The IT departments hated them because they didn't conform. Users loved them. In one government department they had to rotate users on to our system to avoid a strike.

Different and better are key to me. I try to keep all functionality accessible — deep menu structures I hate. Minimalist, elegant, effective. Content left, actions right.
